Connecting and Reconnecting with Bloggers in Chicago
Walked around Chicago and got to know some of my fellow SOB Con ‘08 bloggers this afternoon. Great conversations with new friends & renewing friendships:
It’s been very motivational and inspirational. Makes me want to write (more!) to listen (more!) and learn (even more!!)
And the conference doesn’t even start for 2 more hours… this was just informal lunch and walking the city conversations. And the weather was NICE this afternoon — I’ll post photos when I have more time to download them from the camera!
Ate lunch with:
- Phil Gerbyshak -thanks for lending me your camera memory chip!!
- Susan Quandt - a very interesting new friend that I just got to know and I hope to link to your blog soon!
- Stephen Hopson a very inspirational friend and a fellow NE Ohioian here!
- Tim Johnson author of Gust - The Tail Wind of Office Politics.
- Erik Potter - author of the giving blog about giving back.
- Nice to get to know Stephen Smith -Productivity in Context.
Just met Chris Garrett (the Northern UK Chris) and watched his video of his afternoon.
And had a great talk with Dawud Miracle who so generously gave me some great insights. Thanks so much!!
Looking forward to seeing Sparkplugging Wendy Piersall and my New England mediator friend Tammy Lenski… and so many of the other folks I met last year!
Sorry for all the !!! but I can’t help it. Talking with so many motivated, smart, friendly people is very energizing to me.

Chris, it was so great to see you again, have a bit of time to catch up, give you a hug for being a sponsor of my virtual book launch!
It’s amazing how much many of us are already enjoying the conference — and learning — though it doesn’t formally start ’til this morning. Says a lot for SOBCon.
