Last month Inc Magazine featured a rebranding story on the cover of their magazine. I wrote that I thought the rebranding missed the mark because it didn’t start with the customer.

When I posted about Dave’s Gourmet hot sauce brand makeover, I forgot to mention that a couple of the branding treatments reminded me a little bit of the 2001 movie called Sweet November with Keanu Reeves as the ad executive who was rebranding a hot dog company’s lead product.

He forgot to focus on the customer when he was developing the brand’s positioning too.

I’m wondering how Deskey is feeling about the Inc Magazine power point and cover story.
