I like to compare strategic planning in marketing to a marathon, not a sprint.

It’s about thinking, planning, and research. Sometimes frustrating. Brainstorming, challenging and digging.

The execution of the plan may feel more like a sprint. It’s about doing, creating, changing, modifying and revising. Cranking out a press release, a postcard, an ad.
