While I sit on several committees/boards of non-profit organizations in a marketing capacity, I have more experience in helping b-b manufacturers market their products and services.
For that reason, I’m always on the lookout for tips, tools and techniques that are specific to branding and marketing nonprofit organizations.
Today I found a really great Branding Section for Non-Profit Organizations by Nancy Schwartz who writes the Getting Attention blog. The content is a great mix of “practical how-to tactics” with more the “strategic why you should” and I think will be helpful to many who are trying to brand and market their non-profit.
Great job, Nancy. I subscribed to your feed.

Thanks for the link to the handout - very useful. I’m also in the business of helping non-profits and churches (as well as small business), so I’m always on the lookout for something marketing related for non-profits. I appreciate it!
I’m so glad you pointed to this very useful PDF. A lot of small-business strategy can be tweaked to suit a nonprofit (especially the larger organizations) but there’s really nothing quite as good as “tailor made” for marketing advice. Thanks - that’s definitely a resource well worth passing along!
